    Facility Result Entry Control Templates

    Other the last year I have been working with our PE department to setup a more flexible assessment system via eportal.

    They recently asked for a change to their requirement , in that they want to enter grades for 8 sports, then work out the average of the four highest grades entered. The old requirement was to work out the average of the eight entered grades. Well after much head scratching this afternoon, I have managed to achieve it with the following expression in a criteria on assessment template.

    noass:=4;a := [FBall Pts] ;b:= [Tramp pts];c:= [Badm pts];d:= [Rug pts];e:= [Fitn pts];f:= [Ath pts];g:= [TTen pts];h:= [SF pts];i:= [Ten pts]; SumList(RightList(Sort(List(a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i)),no ass))/noass

    The above works the average of the four highest grades on the Result Entry Control template, negating the need to work this out via a report. The new list functions seem to quite useful
