MIS Systems Thread, SIMS and .NET 2.0 in Technical; Does anyone know when SIMS will move to .net framework 2.0 or has this happened already? Cheers....

    Yep on it all ready. The only strangeness I remember is that Capita recommended installing .Net3 & supplied it with their upgrade but it isn't necessary yet, it was a pre-emptive.

    It will be May now before .net 2 is required - date has slipped back. .net 3 was suggested as we wanted to avoid visits to workstations at a later stage.

    Ahhh that explains it i deploy .net 2.0 via group policy so i was a bit puzzled why SIMS kept putting 1.1 on during install as i had been led to beleive that 2.0 was added during the last release.

    So i need to run the infrastructure update tool?
