    Behaviour from Take a Register

Just a little bit of preliminary research, we are looking at (again) starting to add small behaviour incidents into SIMS - from memory if you use the Right Click -> Add Behaviour it creates the record with the basic details, but leaves the incident as Unresolved.

As ever, it needs to be simplified as much as possible and as it is only small incidents we will be adding in this way, ideally we want it to be marked as Resolved - anybody know if there is a way we can achieve this?

when you right click, and add the behaviour, it gives you the option to mark it as resolved or unresolved - so just train your staff to mark it as resolved.

we have reports we run on unresolved, that HoDs and STs are to chase up - this has generally worked to get staff to make sure they are marking appropriately, as they don't want their HoD constantly telling them that they don't need to follow up on things.

Perfect, it's been updated since we looked at it a couple of years back where there was no status!

    Thanks

You might want a "don't publish on SLG" option too...

Matt, is there a way that this can be done? Or at least not to publish comments? As we have had an incident recently where a member of staff has put a comment on which they shouldn't have done!

    Regards,

In the lookups for behaviour management, you can choose which Behaviour types you want to appear on Take a Register and there is a 2nd option in there for the SLG which you can change to Yes/No as you please.

We don't have SLG and no intention to at any point in the near to medium future so it is, thankfully, not a problem for us.

In the configuration for the behaviour webpart on SLG, you can choose whether or not to show the comments

This is definitely the best way to do it as you might want staff to see the comments etc through SLG. You can just disable the contents for parents and students.

Just been checking some details and I might have imagined the slg in behaviour lookups as I can't see it now. I'm sure I spotted it somewhere though. Sorry

I'm sure it's there @Cache - it's on the status, not the behaviour I think
