Yep, I'm still at work, just attempting to install the latest CMIS and E-Portal updates from serco.
Started with the CMIS one as per insructions, appeared to install OK, and installed all our optional componants, as per usual for a update.
Run CMIS for the first time, it detects the update, and does its database validation routine, as per usual. Completes this OK with no errors (Amazing, it never does this!)
Then it does the loading and syncronising reports bit right at the end, and crashes right at the last minute on syncronising reports. Program becomes un-responsive. You can leave it as long as you like, and nothing happens. Only way to get out of it is to force CMIS to close from Task Manager, then when you run it again, it does the same thing because it never completes!!
Anyone else had this problem?? I've rolled back to the previous version for now so we have functionality for tomorrow, and will be onto SERCO support first thing tomorrow!
Bloody Serco!!
Mike.

Haven't upgraded(!) our live system yet, but we upgraded our two test systems yesterday without any problems.
We're leaving the upgrade to our live system till after the new year.
Good luck with trying to get through to Serco's support.

We normally run the update on our standalone cmis installation first, but as the previous 3 updates have been fine and we were pressed for time, we thought we'd go straight onto the live database on this ocassion, which shouldn't normally be a problem as suposidly these things are tested before release!
I'm going to try it on our standalone version tomorrow morning, see if I get the same results. So irritating that just when I was gaining some confidence in Serco, we start getting problems again!

Ran fine here, though reports did take an age. Flaming ePortal was a nightmare though, it never seems to 'truly' upgrade ours, leaving bits that we have to do ourselves, like remove the BAK folder in Webapps, or the ePortal service tries to use that!

Ours will be ran later today so if you see a mushroom cloud over Derbyshire it means the servers gone nuclear lol

We have just done ours this morning - went okay but the reports bit did take an age. Looking in task manager it said 'Not Responding' but we left it , and left it, had a cup of tea, left it, left it, another cup of tea........
Then Bingo.

It went through OK in the end yesterday we tried it again. This time we just left it a lot longer than we had been. Dispite the program going un-responsive it did eventually complete, but took 20 minutes to do so. I have fed back to Serco about this problem.
The rest of the update completed without any problems.

locked table
We did the upgrade a few days ago. Ours failed as well during the sync of reports. We got the error about a table being locked.
After speaking with serco they pointed to a location is sql where you can unlock the table. When you click retry it was ok.
We also had a problem after the upgrade had finnished. Eportal wouldn't allow the admin to login. Serco did fix it quite quickly.
