Nah, that's so you watch the Favicon. It will hypnotise to into forgetting the failure and believe this is the first release and all is well.

All joking aside, you have to commend them, they have been very quick to respond and get these bugs sorted.
Let's just hope there aren't any more show-stoppers, poor Jon must be a wreck.
If i wasn't battling the timetable right now, i'd whack it on my test setup just to see how it goes.

I do feel sorry for him, humour cures all :-)

I'm not doing anything with it. I am the only one on the Helpdesk answering calls, why aren't more schools closed? and I have only 7 1/2 days left here.

We've been closed for two weeks. Isn't today a strike day for teachers?
I bet they'll all install next week and you'll have the last half day from hell

Yes, the real world, away from boiling frogs and u-turns in freight liners. Looks like my training side is winning over my baking side.

Working and being supported are miles apart. There was a thread about it recently but for previous versions not this one. With the number of bugs that crop up, do you really want to risk your central data store? I know your hands are probably tied, just saying

Please tell me you're going to take SOLUS 2 and open source it so we can keep on using it
..or you could package each update into an MSI

Nothing like that, It's more training on anything from using a mouse to how to decorate a wedding or novelty cake... both of which I can do.

Just done the new summer update - it fixes the assessment manager issues, but the custom report definition we have that worked up until we deployed the first summer release is still giving wrong output for us. So time to ring Capita and see whether they think there's a bug somewhere or a change in behaviour that was planned.

@PhilNeal told me last year that MSI and patch updates are coming soon. My guess is that this will be Solus 3.8, which I know has some new inline patching features...
