We've recently started to get staff who get an error when logging onto SIMS on windows7 laptops.
For ease I'll call the SIMS user with the problem Mrs smith.
If I as a SIMS user with full SIMS permissions logon to SIMS on Mrs Smith's PC , with the Mrs Smith having logged onto the windows network under her windows userid I get onto SIMS OK.
If Mrs Smith logs onto SIMS she gets a " SIMS has stopped working" error so never gets to the logon screen.
If Mrs Smith then uses a different computer for SIMS she gets onto SIMS OK.
I then setup a new user with similar permissions i.e. without any lessons/timetabling associated with the userid and this new userid gets the same error.
A bit puzzled as to where to look next - any suggestions?
This issue was happening before the laptop was reimaged and the laptop was reimaged and given the same windows configuration as every other SIMS laptop who work OK with SIMS.
Any ideas where to look next?
Have you checked that the local SIMS folder in Program Files on the affected PC has full access for the DOMAIN\Staff user group?
