    SOLUS3 - Reset 'Install Active' Agents Utility by Matt40k

    @matt40k has been hard at it again and created an awesome little tool for resetting agents in SOLUS3 that have an Agent install status of "Install Active". Discussed in another thread, Capita's own tool seems to have been pulled and no longer available but this does the job just as well.

    Download: https://s3unlock.codeplex.com/

    Simply input your server details and connect. If you have any agents with a status of "Install Active", it will list their details and allow you to reset their status:



    Once reset (or if you have no devices with an 'Install Active' status), conformation comes in the form of a smiley face:

    @vikpaw -Could this be a sticky? It's a useful tool and could be useful to anyone on the SOLUS3 boat (which I call the Titanic )

    Agreed!

    I can't can totally believe that S3 leaves you in this position.
    In my case a PC rebooted unexpectedly during an agent deployment (OS update to blame even though updates are set not to reboot).
    'Its ok' I thought 'I'll just reinstall the agent. Hmm I cant...not matter I'll remove the machine...oh wait I can't...in fact I can't do anything!'

    Ridiculous.

    Thanks @Rawns for the pointer - where do you get these toys? or at least how do you hear about them.

    Good job @matt40k - again! - You know what happens to people that make really useful tools and add-ons, they get bought out, have their code stolen and then forced to retire. Still worse things could happen; you might have to go back to doing SIMS support

    Haha, I open source all the small stuff I do so I invite people to steal the code! The idea is you get a bit of a rep. It's just at the moment it appears my rep is being used to demonstrate failings in a certain MIS provider and to be fair, they kinda deserve it. They're not exactly healthy for the open-source community. On the plus side I've got favours all over the place.

    Awesome, just saved my life, out of all our machines the heads decided to go tits up, was stuck and CAPITA in all its wisdom seems to be closed today and was closed on Friday, I understand its Christmas time but some of us still have to work.

    Anyway, tried this util and its sorted out the issue for us, good job mate thank you!

    How do I fix "Install Queued" errors. The computer does not exist any more.

    Its been like that for weeks and I can't remove the agent install as the button is greyed out.
