    You need a local connect.ini in C:\Program Files (x86)\SIMS\SIMS .net that looks something like this:

    [SIMSConnection]
    ServerName=SERVERNAME\SIMS2012
    DatabaseName=EngWE
    ServerType=SIMSSQL
    DatabaseMode=OnLine

    [SIMSDatabases]
    FriendlyName0=Green Abbey
    Server0=SERVERNAME\SIMS2012
    DatabaseName0=EngGA
    DatabaseMode0=Online

    FriendlyName1=Waters Edge
    Server1=SERVERNAME\SIMS2012
    DatabaseName1=EngWE
    DatabaseMode1=Online

    FriendlyName2=School 3
    Server2=SERVERNAME\SIMS2012
    DatabaseName2=SIMS_3501234
    DatabaseMode2=Online

    FriendlyName3=School 4
    Server3=SERVERNAME\SIMS2012
    DatabaseName3=SIMS_3509876
    DatabaseMode3=Online

    Any problems, post back here!

    Hi,

    Having created my training database and used the below for my connect.ini, after logging into the training database successfully and logging out of it, the connect.ini file changes to the 2nd version below, would you be able to tell me why this happens?

    [SIMSConnection]
    ServerName=servername\SIMS2008
    DatabaseName=sims
    ServerType=SIMSSQL
    DatabaseMode=Online

    [SIMSDatabases]
    FriendlyName0=SIMS Live
    Server0=servername\SIMS2008
    DatabaseName0=SIMS
    DatabaseMode0=Online

    FriendlyName1=SIMS Training
    Server1=servername\SIMS2008
    DatabaseName1=simstraining
    DatabaseMode1=Online

    Non-functioning connect.ini:

    [SIMSConnection]
    ServerName=servername\SIMS2008
    DatabaseName=simstraining
    ServerType=SIMSSQL
    DatabaseMode=OnLine

    [SIMSDatabases]
    FriendlyName0=SIMS Live
    Server0=servername\SIMS2008
    DatabaseName0=SIMS
    DatabaseMode0=Online

    FriendlyName1=SIMS Training
    Server1=servername\SIMS2008
    DatabaseName1=simstraining
    DatabaseMode1=Online
    [SIMSOffline]
    PreviousRedirect=
    PreviousServerName=servername\SIMS2008
    PreviousDatabaseName=simstraining
    PreviousDatabaseMode=OnLine
