    Talking Timetable to Exchange

Want to export your timetable to Exchange Calendar Appointments, for all of the staff, for the whole year?

I got bored yesterday and made this: http://twitter.com/techienickb/statu...73788128460801.

More info and download: SIMS.net to Exchange - nb development

This looks very cool - I'm assuming it dumps it into their regular Exchange calendar?

If you want to update the data due to a timetable change, will it overwrite the existing data, or create new events?

Yep, using Exchange Web Services. It should in theory work with Office 365 as well.

Yep, it will remove existing, see the notes at the bottom of SIMS.net to Exchange - nb development (just wrote about that)

Nice, I can see this being useful for some staff who use their Outlook calendar a lot.

In the docs, when you say it removes all appointments after the first date in the XML file, does that literally mean all appointments in the user's calendar are nuked, or just the ones that the script has created?

Nope, unless they have appointment's starting with "Lesson:" (this is how the system looks for stuff it's created to remove)

It was the easiest way to check, otherwise the import would take 3x as long as it looks for appointments matching the time, and name for each lesson, in each term.
