KS3 Results SATs
Does anyone know where i can get a lookup table to convert KS3 SAT results to a National Curriculumn level?
So i can use Excel to convert say a score of 45 for science to a NC level of 5b etc... I know they already give a level but i wish to break it down even further.

Re: KS3 Results SATs
Not sure if there is one out there that is already created / populated because the boundaries change every year.
We took all of our results with marks and guessed the borderlines by ordering them in a spreadsheet.
We then just worked out fine grades by doing a nested if then else on each subject using the boundaries. We use 5.1,5.2,5.3 etc. rather than the a,b,c style (even though the dcsf recommend against it! 8O )
If you can get the boundary information then you can make your own lookup table in either Excel and use it in there or do it in sims (never used the lookup function myself).
The best thing to do is wait for the Fischer Family Trust data, they have fine grades (decimalised) worked out for you and all you have to do is decide what range is equivalent to a 5b/5c etc.
Many people use 5.0, 5.3 and 5.7, but i spoke to the guy that prepares the CAT test results and predictions and he said to use 5.3, 5.5, and 5.8 as the equivalent of 5a,5b,5c.
Our LA prepares a lot of data for us, and we'll receive the most up to date in a week or so. If you don't get info from them then it might be worth contacting the Fischer Family Trust direct, they now have their own website that you can log into and access your schools data. Not sure if our LA pays them on our behalf or not.
I guess they are trying to copy RAISE Online to a degree.
sorry it's not a solution but hope it helps.
