    Nova T6 timetable opens as blank

    Have been working on a timetable in Nova T6 for a few days. It was saving everything fine since. But when I now open it, the timetable is gone, it's all blank. I can see some data like staff lists, but no table. I've even tried opening the backup files it automatically creates every half hour and they're also all blank. I've tried another computer too. What could it be?! I think it's lost everything I've worked on!

    This happened to me, it turned out I hadn't upgraded my satelite install of nova and for some reason it was opening in there, but the automatic backups did work.

    I also made my own "Version" saves every hour or so, but I am paranoid.

    Have you made sure it is looking in the correct directory. If memory serves me I think Nova looks to a network SIMS directory, and if this isn't available then loads new. I know I used to point it to a local directory, which was then in turn, synced with the SIMS network directory. Maybe it was to prevent this.?

    My Nova version seems OK, it's the same computer and it opens the file. I have the SPL file saved to my documents and it has always opened fine before. Just when I came to open it last the timetable is all gone! I'm sure I'm pointing it to the correct directory too, it's just an SPL file in my documents which I've always opened well before.

    I'd log it with Capita/Your local support team now, and maybe get a traditional file restore from the backups.

    I've managed to restore a previous version of the SPL file to last week from our backups, and it opens fine, so at least I don't have to redo that work.

    But the strangest thing is, I was working on later versions of that file since yesterday and it was opening fine! Now that later version doesn't, nor any of the versions I restore from our backups from a few days before! And yet the latest versions are also larger in size so they really should have data in them.

    I thought this was just me, but obviously I should have logged it as an issue as well, looks like we should be expecting a Nova Patch soon then :-)

    Quick update, Capita saw the file and said it's corrupt but they can't give a reason. They managed to recover it though.
