Using SIMS to Analyse MidYIS/YELLIS Data
Hello
I am fairly new to my role as MIS Officer at a Secondary School (coming up to a year, so maybe not that new!), and I am looking at ways to develop the schools use of Assessment Manager within SIMS.
I was wondering if there was anyone out there who uses SIMS/Assessment Manager to store/analyse MidYIS and YELLIS feedback data on their pupils, and if so how. I was thinking of creating a template with columns that were just free text, and then importing the feedback into them but this will only allow me to store the data and not produce any analysis on it.
Apologies if there is already a thread for this somewhere, i did search to try and find a relevant one!!!
Thanks,
Lianne

21st February 2013, 12:08 PM #2 Hi,
My school uses assessment manager for all of our reporting and tracking, including holding midyis, yellis and FFT data. Although we are moving away from midyis and yellis in favour of FFT.
I would be happy to give you a few pointers on where to start and how to hold the data with in assessment manager.
It will probably get confusing trying to do it via forum posts as data sets (result sets) etc need to be set up.
If you message me I will send you my contact details and I can give you a few pointers over the phone when I'm back in the office tomorrow.
