ePortal Sharepoint Integration
am trying to install eportal webparts into sharepoint but keep getting an error message - The "MainStuContactProviderWebPart" Web Part appears to be causing a problem. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Does anyone know what this means? Has anyone actually gone down the sharepoint route and if so is it worth pursuing?
Any help would be appreciated

Hello,
Out of interest where did you get the sharepoint parts from. I've been looking for some to integrate at my school.
Thanks,
Rob

There are a number of schools that are trying them out, noticeably in the Plymouth area.

Ah I see, well I don't see as im not one of them, does anyone have any screenshots that we can see, clearly not showing confidential data, dont want the have DPA issues or anything. Im interested in them as they are used to replace the e-portal arn't they? And will it allow the Learning Kit to read the teaching groups etc?

Re: ePortal Sharepoint Integration
I'd also be interested to know what the webparts do, especially if they write back to the database.
We currently have staff/pupil timetables and some group lists integrated into sharepoint using reporting servcies, it works well but we still need eportal(
) to do registration and reports.

Re: ePortal Sharepoint Integration
Not ideal, but I’ve used the Web Page Web Part Viewer and then pointed that to our ePortal address.

The last ones I saw were read only and then with a link back to ePortal proper to enter data.
I have put a request out for more up-to-date information about what the state of play is.
