Unbinding - What happens to perferences?
Ive got a macbook, that was used in school, but now a member of staff wants to use it mostly from home, which for others we have used both in school and at home without issue, simply changing network location to connect to either, but i have one macbook that when connecting to anything other then the schools wireless wont connect to the internet, and continues to look for proxy settings, ive removed all proxy settings from the schools network location, so the mac should not remember them. but in workgroup manager ive got the network preferences setup with the proxy settings in there, it is the only place i thought the mac could still be getting those settings from, even though on this macbook i deleted all network locations and started from scratch. So i finally decided to unbind it from the mac server, although the problem is still on going???? my question is how did i remove any trace of any proxy settings from this macbook, it can no longer contact the server for its settings, there not specified locally either, but it still wont connect to this persons router at home, and gives the error "cannot find proxy server".
This has been goin on for a while now, and im out of ideas, so any help would be great
