Inspiration 9 Mac
Hi,
We have around 50 Macs here and I've been given a copy of the mind mapping software Inspiration to install on them. We have a Mac server here so actual deployment of the software shouldn't be too arduous. However, when the software is run for the first time you have to enter a serial number.
Does anyone happen to know where and how this information is stored? I'd like to push it out to the Macs automagically rather than go around each one and enter it manually if poss!
Cheers,
Norphy

Does the program have a plist file you can copy to all machines? Thats how I pushed out the iWork key recently.

There's a plist in the app package but it doesn't appear to store registration details.

There's a guy in my office that knows how to do this, I'll see if he can post here...

License files can sometimes be stored in /Library/Application Support/
I know Plasq use this location for Comic Life.
Maybe the software creates a plist file in this location once the serial number has been entered?

Thanks Rob, that's useful...
H'anyway, I heard back from Inspiration the other day. When Inspiration is run for the first time and registered, it creates a file called Inspiration.NOS in its Applications folder. You can copy the entire Inspiration folder with the NOS file in it to other Macs and all registration settings are copied with it.
