    XMac Mini

    Hello,

Just thought I would post this up for those that have a mac mini server and wish they could do a but more with it, like the old XServe.

Sonnet - xMac mini Server: PCIe 2.0 Expansion System/1U Rackmount Enclosure

Now, the cost seems a little high and I have found it priced up at around £875 +VAT online. But it could be quite useful. Post up to show your interest.

Holdan Ltd - Sonnet xMac mini Server Rackmount 1U System with PCIe 2.0 expansion slot for Thunderbolt technology-enabled Mac mini computers.

    Thanks.

Recently EduMac set up our Mac Mini Server in our Air conditioned server room. The Mini Mac was one of our better recent investments and having Ross set it up was well worth it. I can't see anything we would gain by buying this item of kit as unfortunately we haven't advanced to a rack yet!

shame its so expensive. Its almost like they have not realised that you could almost get a mac pro for the money of a mac mini plus this. Though least this easily rack mounts i suppose...

    That's not a bad price considering Magma's ExpressBox 3T costs £770 + VAT.
