if you're confident in Terminal try this.
I don't know of any free utilities. Stellar make one called Stellar Partition Manager but they only have a free demo.
Right, I have an external drive that I need to jiggle the partitions a bit. There are 2 partitions, one of which is for my Time Machine the other just for general storage and backups of things I don't need on my Mac, but need to keep (client work, etc).
Now, following an interesting couple of days rebuilding my mac (rolled back to 10.7.3 as 10.7.4 broke Main Stage for me) as Time Machine hadn't backed up my applications, I've decided to include the applications folder too and all that, so I need to make the TM partition a bit bigger.
So, I've shrunk the general partition (partition 2) on the drive, but I now see you can't move partitions, resize (as in make larger) partition 1 of the drive with Disk Utility, so I'm after someone recommending me a parition manager for Mac OSX Lion to do this. Now, preferably free, as always, but if there are paid for ones out there that people recommend then I'll look into those to.
EDIT: Just to clarify before anyone suggest putting it on a windows box and using something on there, it's a Mac formatted drive so that wouldn't work AFAIK.
