I have seen alot of threads on here of people buying ipads for school use. I was just wondering how much people were paying for an ipad (we are thinking about 30) and what is the best way to manage them? is it osx 10 lion server? or is there some thing else that you should use

24th February 2012, 11:00 AM #2 We only have them for staff at the moment, but if you're buying a bank of them for pupils, you can use the iPhone Configuration Utility and manage them all together:
iPhone Configuration Utility 3.4 for Windows
I contacted Apple at the time who directed me to a company called MCC Digital based in Warrington...

s.bordoni@mccdigital.com How much did the ipads cost you? (ex VAT) As the retail is £399, so knock of VAT its £332.60, so did you get any further discount?

Not a huge amount cheaper than yours, but if you're buying 30 it'll save about £350ish

The best way to manage the iPads is to purchase a charge and sync device. There are a variety of products out there that do all the work for you by charging all of your iPads and syncing them all to one computer. There are carts, cabinets, and smaller transportable devices that can be shared among classrooms. The cabinets and carts also offer storage and security from theft. We got our products from Datamation Systems: www.ipadcarts.com
