As far as I know, it does have user storage. But our imacs are currently off the domain and in our office for rebuilding at the moment, so there shouldn't be anything coming through from the clients.

have you taken an image of one of the imacs? maybe its put that on the disk if you use something like deploy studio?

I've been watching one of our two partitions on our mac mini server closely for the past few days, and suddenly it has decided that an odd 140gb of space has just 'disappeared'. By disappeared, I mean it looks like it's been used up but for the life of me can't find what is using it. We're running 10.6.8 server but a mixture of 10.6 and 10.7 clients at the moment.
I also downloaded Disk inventory to see if that could find where the space has gone but to no avail. Has anyone had this before?! Any advice/suggestions very much appreciated here - i'm stumped!
EDIT: This seems to be completely random, I setup email notifications if low disk space ever were to occur and i've just checked them again now.

Is this where your deploy studio stores its images, a good 20-30g image done a couple of times will sure burn up all that free space!!
Log into DS and see in masters how many images you've got and how big they are, this is of course assuming they are stored on the drive where the space is going from,
Good luck!

7th February 2012, 10:54 AM #6 Our DS masters are stored on a different partition, I did first think this could be the problem but apparently not. That would be too easy, after all! After downloading a file browser it's told me that 380gb of files are hidden.. and it looks correct - I can't manually browse to the folder where our software updates are stored for example, but if I open it through the file browser, it opens for me. Strange
