Managing 10.6 & 10.7 clients with a Snow Leopard server

I've just tried a 10.7.3 client on our 10.6.8 and it appears in WGM, but doesn't apply any of the machine preferences.

I guess the only way to manage clients on 10.6.8 server is to make sure the clients are 10.6.8 or earlier then?

Have you tried the 10.7.4 update? May help fix the issue. There is mention of improving binding and logging into AD accounts. May have been some small tweaks under the hood for OD as well.
