Virtual Desktop from Win7 to MAC OSX Server

Anyone know what sort of cost might we be looking at to upgrade our OS X Server (purchased within the last 12/18 months) to the latest roaring version?

There is no new server hardware version, you're looking at a high level Mac Pro or just a really high spec iMac to handle it. I'm sure the EULA prevents is both because they would rather you buy a whole new mac per person to get their brand in peoples faces more and also because the EULA is written by lawyers who don't understand the tech. This is probably why licensing is so messy under MS as it is managed by the lawyers and the marketing department who's technical abilities probably don't stretch far above editing a wordprocessing document or adding a chart into a presentation.

A$83.98 inc. GST ($31.99 for Lion + $51.99 for Lion Server). IIRC, if you try to buy Lion from the Mac App Store on your Xserve running Snow Leopard Server it will prompt you to buy Lion Server at the same time.

The terminal access point in the EULA seems a little odd giving that one of Lion's selling points is it now has multiple VNC connections allowed at one time.

Is this not a form of terminal sessions?

Ive just given them a couple of old imacs to use for keynotes to keep them happy. Not wasting any more of my time on them ;p

I work with Tony at KRCS and my view on this is in the EULA Apple trying to stop dealers from setting up terminal service agreements for end users. I don't think Apple would care in the least if you set up a Lion Mac to run two instances of Keynote on.

I have plenty of education customers using loads of remote services on Macs that may violate the UELA....
