Can't connect to Aruba Wireless Network using Macbook
Hi,
Wasn't sure whether to post this under Mac or Wireless.
Our School is predominantly Windows based and I'm pretty useless when it comes to using Mac's. But I have a Macbook lying around feeling sorry for itself so I thought I would try and hook it up to our Aruba Wireless Network.
It recognises the Network but when I tap the passkey in it tries to connect before returning a "connection failed error". The key is definately correct so not sure if I am missing something or if the Wireless is not setup to accomidate Mac's as we have had the exact same problem in the past with guests using Macs.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Sam

8th March 2011, 07:15 PM #2 Same problem on our Arurba Network - rang apple who said it must be a compatibility problem with OUR hardware - they went silent when I explained that every other wireless device works, phones, windows PCs, linux - even my crappy Samsung mobile phone works on it. In fact iPhones connect to it however, try a mac book or iPad and it simply won't.
So according to Apple technical support it's a problem with OUR wireless hardware - which is odd as it's only THEIR hardware which won't work on it.....
Gave up with them in the end as they started to demand money shortly afterwards.....

Any possible thoughts would help me too.
