Hi,
I use a Mac Mini with the Plex software as a media centre box. I play movies stored on a another computer on the network.
I was wondering if anyone can suggest i Digital TV Tuner for the Mac Mini? I would like to record some TV, at the moment i dont have this facility at all at home.
The software will need to be easy to use and be able to fully navigate through it using the Apple remote.
Does anyone have any suggestions please?
Thanks

16th January 2011, 09:45 PM #2 You may be able to use the elgato stuff. Their software is really good and has an iPhone app to go with it. It allows recording shows remotely i think. I purchased the elgato dtt tuner a while ago now. haven't used it in a while. Still the software gets updated with additional features quite regularly. Take a look at their website, it may give more information with regards to the remote side of things.
Check this page for the information you need:

I purchased mine a good while ago now from the Apple store. It was the terratec cynergy t2 that was in the box. But i think this has been discontinued now as all tuners tend to be stick based.
An alternative would be to build a iptv system. Myth TV has been ported to os x. The only issue I found was to find a compatible tuner that works with it
Apparently the homerun box works with it but i wasn't willing to spend that much to find out.
