Default OS X mail authentication for AD Users

Good evening,

I have now finished building my new mail server based on OS X 10.6.1 Server. It is going to be accessed via IMAP and webmail. The users are AD users.

I just need a bit of advice. I think i did it right but not too sure now. I have the server connected to our AD server using Directory Utility. The users are added to the the mail SACL list so they can use the OS X mail service. The server is hosting on a different network. Now, i have requested port 625 to be opened to our AD server's address to allow for the remote Directory Access.

Is this all i need to open for this to work. I have opened ports 993 and 25 for mail services as well, but am unsure of the authentication for the AD users?

If anyone can clarify this for me that wold be ace.

Thanks,
Mark.
