My wife says it's called Veet now.
Apparently they make skin as soft as silk.

eMac vs iMac
G4 1.42GHz vs G5 2GHz
iMac has faster memory and can hold more (and comes with 512MB, twice that of eMac)
64MB graphics on eMac, but 128 MB on iMac
17" (16" viewable) CRT on eMac, but 17" viewable widescreen TFT on iMac
Both have Combo and Superdrive options.
Wireless and Bluetooth are built in on the iMac, but optional extras on the eMac ...
iMac has double the Hard Drive size
But iMac costs more than the eMac ... and the Applecare is more again.
An eMac is a good machine ... but an iMac is better.
Get what you can afford, but also look at the software requirements for some of the things you want to run.
Final Cut Studio is ok on an eMac (just ... Motion wants a minimum of a 64MB graphics chip) but it is better on an iMac (and better still on a G5 tower)

For a school?
Whichever you can afford :-)
We just got an iMac G5 2Ghz for home and it is very impressive. But we have also had emacs and the school has just bought about nine of them for the new media block- they are nice too. If it's emacs you are getting, go for the larger hard drives and try and get more RAM. The larger HDDs tend to be faster on the emac. The more RAM you have the better (obviously).
Tony's advice was good and I don't intend to take away from that.
