I'm having a bit of trouble here. I've been reinstalling a set of MacBooks, all with an identical spec, and so far things have gone faultlessly, until now. This particular MacBook boots from the DVD, but then gives me the message (after the language menu) 'Mac OS X Cannot be installed on this computer' then it asks me to reboot. I haver tried a few more install disks, but with no joy. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like you need the correct install disk, I believe the newer mac's are cpu tied to certain installation media.

Bit of a pain. I ahve a late 2008 white macbook here, you can try my CD
Am I right in thinking you haven't got a central server you can image off then?
