    I heard crossover is good for games, haven't tried it though

    I would def. agree with the other guys here about VMware fusion. I had Parallels, and VMware fusion is better.

    I recommend Audicity to a teacher because she want to music editing program and it's free.

    Crossover Games, is supposedly good for running windows game on mac. I don't know much about except it's based on Wine.

    I learned about these software through article about essential apps for mac ...

    $80 a month is the plan I would need for mine! That sort of cost makes cloud computing totally prohibitive for me.

    I agree and disagree. I have always been a VMWare fan and preferred it but now with the newest version of Parallels, both products have there merits. It's useful to have access to both!

    This looks pretty cool if you need to remotely access your Mac.

    Slink is the easy way to remotely connect to your home network. All shared services on your home network automatically appear in the Finder, iTunes, iPhoto, and other applications. (Just as they do at home!)
