Good morning all
Current Mac Server Setup and Problems
Sorry about length of post but looking for some help
Current Setup:-
MacPro Server ruining Tiger 10.4 Server
Configured as OD Master
Clients Mac Minis running Tiger 10.4
Clients bound to Active Directory. When students log on to Mac Mini with Active Directory account their windows home directory is mounted.
Problem
Have set up shared folder on Mac Server that holds all the Art Dept Resources that student need to access.
Students log on to Mac with AD account, Widows home directory is mounted. To access share on the Mac Server they go to GO--->Connect to Server and enter the IP address of the Server. If connected “Select the Volumes to mount box” appears, they select the volume to mount and it appears on their desktop.
Sometimes this works and then other times an error message appears ““Connection Failed” Unknown User, Incorrect Password or Login is Disabled””.
We can have 30 students log on to a suite of Mini Mac’s with their AD account and run Go to Server to connect to share, 50% will connect the others will get the error message above.
Why?
The connection to the share seems intermittent
I wonder if anyone can give me any guidance or pointers?
Much Appreciated
