Mac-based School Administration/Billing Recommendations Request
Hi there.
I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a school-oriented database product that will run on Mac OS X (or be web-based and not rely on ActiveX or other Windows-specific tech)?
What it primarily needs to do is
-to contain the basic information about pupils
-to produce termly bills for ~600 pupils
-to contain some info about attendance, exam results and so on
We've found a couple of products (School RecordKeeper school database software, Denbigh Administration) but one is very US-centric, and the other Australia-centric. The product needs to be easily deployed in a UK school.
Any advice much appreciated.

You're looking more along the lines of a MAC compatiable MIS system. It may be worth finding out if the market leading Windows MIS companies produce a compliant Mac version of there software.
Companies along the lines of Serco, SIMS etc. You may also looking into the open source alternative of Moodle and its add-ins
