Crossing Over To The Other Side....

I'm buying a macbook for myself soon, after being a hater of all things Apple for so long (don't tell Mattx!!!).

I need it for some private work I'll be undertaking soon and the question is this - I know how to set it up to dual boot as I'll be needing to use both OSX and Windows XP Pro - but can it be set up to 'triple boot' - as I'm thinking it would be useful to have a choice of OSX, Windows XP Pro & Ubuntu.

    Can this be done?

Come over the grass is lovely and green.

Im not sure if you can i haven't tried. You could use disk manager to make 3 partitions, failing that you could make it into a VM.

Welcome to the fold (evil laugh), one day Macs will rule all and soon you will know why.

Actually Google will rule all but thats a different story! Well done, congrates and all. Heres a link that you might find useful...

    VirtualBox

Although I'm a VMWare nut, Virtual Box is free and is a lot better than TriBooting boot camp IMHO. I mean, who wants to restart their computer to use another OS? Just run them all at the same time and jump between them as needed, no?

I just whacked Server 2003 on my Macbook pro (through Boot camp) with 3gb Ram. It booted in around 30 secs to 1 minute. Not bad really for a laptop

Cheers Matt & Stewart, the more people you try and persuade not to cross over to the other side the more elitist I feel using Macs. That's why I love Sainsburys, it keeps the proles out of Waitrose

...But that was only to wash out the stains using Windows for all those years has left on your soul. Now your all clean and pure and ready for your mac to arrive
