    Another screen down.

36 imacs, currently 4 need screens and 2 dead HDD. Although I'm not sure the HDD is the issue as I've just replaced one and it's not booting, could be the internal battery.

Over the past 3 years we've had 3 eMacs with Capacitor faults, one iMac ship with a dead optical drive, 2 MacBooks with screen issues on arrival and 2 iMacs with vertical LCD lines.

Out of 300 Macs, I guess we're lucky!

I phoned technical support and got someone helpful.

I should be getting a support exception to get the 4 currently broken screens replaced for free. I was then put through to someone else helpful in customer services (who don't have a number ). It looks as though I will be reimbursed for my previous screen repairs.

They have moved from denial to "emerging issue" status.

May I ask what company you are using for the work as that seems very expensive. We use Group 8 (Apple's official UK Support partner- they are the people who actually do your repair when you ring the Apple number). Think its about £200 for a replacement screen on a 2007 iMac.
