How do you Back up the managed preferences?

This has been bugging me for a bit now. If i recall correctly if you backup and restore the OD archive files this doesn't restore your managed preferences. Also if you export your users and groups and then re-import them i don't think this brings back your managed prefs either.

So how do you backup the managed prefs in OS X WGM?

in WGM click on the user, group or computer group that you want to backup the preferences for. Go to the Server -> Export option. The reverse for importing (select the item you want to import and overwrite the settings for, just be careful as I don't believe it has any confirmation).
