Smile Mac compatible Email with Smileys

I have my first iMac and found i cant download smiley central as its only windows compatible.

I downloaded Thunderbird mail but the smileys only seem to show up on my side, the people i sent email to cant see them and i only saw the emoticon text when viewing it in Apple Mail.

However when my friend sends me email from AOL and includes smileys I can see them fine. If i copy them into another email then go look at what I sent, it shows them as attachments?

Is there anyway to add smileys to Apple mail that everyone can see?

Or is there another mac-compatible email program that will allow me to put smileys in and display them correctly to others?

I just like to be able to add a few smileys to my mail to show how im feeling, nothing too flash just few little faces like you have on here, smiley, laughing, frustrated, embarrased etc

    Anyone know?

    Hi,

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for- but if you go here:

    Emoticônes 3D

and simply copy and paste these into a folder on your Mac, and from there drag and drop into your emails you might find that it works.

And this may let you use emoticons too (since it's a Yahoo plug):

Apple - Downloads - Email & Chat - Yahoo! Zimbra Desktop

    Smile

I thought id try Zimbra first as its a complete mail package. Got it all downloaded and account set up but was surprised to find there was no emoticons in the tool bar.

I thought it would have with the basic Yahoo email mail having them. Maybe I have to set up a zimbra account to get access to Yahoo features in my mail?

So far I have only added my main ISP account not the free email services which are mostly spam anyway when i do check!

I might try downloading the others onto my desktop as well and see what happens.

    Thanks for your help.
