Generating SSL self signed certificate

I know where to go to generate a self signed certificate in leopard server but some of the fields are a lil confusing and after the certficate is generated I believe there are some other steps but i dont know, plz help

I changed the default certificate info via reading built in help (lol yes sometime it is actually helpful). the only thing im still concerned about are steps that may be required after generating the certificate (self-signed)
