    Yosemite Beta now available

I've just got an email from Apple announcing that Beta 1 for Yosemite is available for the great unwashed to download. If you want it, you need to sign up for it if you haven't already.

Haven't played with it yet but it's coming down surprisingly quickly from the App Store.

Might run it in VMWare Fusion just to see what it's like!!

May take a while though :/ Screen Shot 2014-07-25 at 13.29.10.png

Perhaps it might run better with the beta version of VMware Fusion 7?

I installed it on the secondary partition of a Mac Mini yesterday. To be honest, despite the new skin and font it looks much the same. I think the most interesting bits are bits that I won't be able to test until iOS 8 comes along...

The most noticeable change is with Spotlight. I'm not sure that I like the way it comes up with a huge thing in the middle of the screen whenever I press CMD+SPACE. It's very tabletish.
