Script to copy files from Mac to Windows server

    Hi All,

Does anyone have a script that will copy the whole contents of the local /users folder to a network location (a windows server). I know how to do this with windows but haven't got a clue on the macs. We have ARD so can send it out with that.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

You can mount the windows share using the mount command:

    mount -t smbfs //usernameassword@MACHINENAME/SHARENAME
    cp /Users/username/Desktop/foldername/* /Volumes/SHARENAME/mydirectory

Make sure to run as console user: root and let me know if it works out well

The smiley face is actually an 'at' sign.

    Thanks.
