Try runnning this microsoft KB835221 High Definition Audio Patch before installing the driver, when you install the driver it sound then detect the sound card. We have had this problem on a number of dual booting Macbook Pros and with windows machines installed with XP service pack 3. The problem is with realtek and sigmatel chipsets. Have known it to work installing the patch after the driver, once the patch is installed it detects the soundcard.

The drivers above do work!

I had the same problem... and now it's all good thanks...

Just so that people who have the same problem know...

I have a 2.4ghz macbook, with realtek audio...
