Re: LEOPARD - FAILED INSTALL HELP

if you boot up from the leopard disc again but go to the utilities menu and run a disk check / scan on your hard drive and ensure all the permissions and everythign else is fixed.

Short of that you could try booting into single user mode and running an fsck.

If all is ok with that , then try again and see what happens.

    Just a thought

if you use your tiger disk just to make sure that it boots up and to scan the hard drive to ensure that the hard drive is ok ?

    can you do that ?

Re: LEOPARD - FAILED INSTALL HELP

yes did that, there is an exclamation mark on the drive, it will only allow me to do a full install (with erasing the hard drive) --- any ideas or will this have to be done?

    thanks

Re: LEOPARD - FAILED INSTALL HELP

If you format it completey and check the permissions and all the rest of it and then try and do a full install of leopard...

If it is still doing the same thing then your probably better off waiting for someone elses reply or calling apple.

You could try zeroing the drive.
