    OSX vs OSX server

OSX Mountain Lion - Is the difference between the Desktop and Server versions simply the 'Server application' ?

ie: If I download and install (into Applications) 'OS X Server' (£13.99 from the App store) on a Mac mini desktop, does it become Mac Mini Server, with regard to the OS or are there other differences?

Yes. There's no longer a separate server edition of OS X. The app is all you need.
