Hi All, I need some help configuring my first suite of Macs.
I used a guide on here to customise the user experience, by modifying the user template and then copying it over the default (English.lproj).
This worked well, and all new users picked up the new default template.
That is, until I unticked the 'Force local home directory on startup disk' option, which forces user files and settings onto the server instead of the local disk. This is how I want it working. Unfortunately, once this is ticked, the new users no longer pick up my modified default user template.
Is a different template used when this option is unticked? I've run a permissions repair on the disk in case it was related to that.
What does your environment look like? Are you running a Windows or Mac server environment? What version of OSX? are you using WGM or Profile Manager (or equivalent) to manage the Macs?
