I am hoping some of you guys/gals can help! We have a suite of iMacs here, which are setup and bound in to AD/OD etc. AD users can login get there windows data folder and a mapped shared area on dock but its a pain to get it showing else where.
What I am trying to achieve is how to get either the users full profile on the iMac when they login and it syncs with the mac directory (users data in the mac documents folder etc) or when they login simply just map the users AD data folder to the desktop so they can easily when saving their work from applications.
Can anyone shed any light on this?
We are doing this using Apple open Directory from a MAC server. We are only using AD to authenticate so I have not done what you want using AD only. Have you looked at this using Group Policy the new AD schema's allow some MAC management.
