Mac Thread, Error when managing Preferences in Workgroup Manager in Technical; Morning,
I have bound our Mac Server to AD and I'm trying to manage the preferences for users using Workgroup ...

You cannot add preferences to an AD group. You need to create a Open directory group and add the AD group to that OD group. Then you can edit the preferences for the OD group.
Hope that makes sense.

You need to change to LDAPV3 on the top left instead of Active Directory and then unlock the pad lock. I have a video on my blog for 10.6 which is close to 10.7 with workgroup manager. HowToMac.co.uk | Bringing the future of Apple into education
