100 MB! I can only dream....
its great in half term, I have hit 500KB download speeds.
but during term time it dosent seem that fast. im sure lots of our bandwidth is wasted on youtube but youtube is a "learning tool" so cannot be blocked.
We also have 2 VC units we are looking to set up.

We've got 2mbit, we could only dream of a connection like that. Which Utopian city are you in, or have you got a time travel package on your internet line as well and are posting this from the future?
500KB/s isn't a 100MBit line.

We have 100Mb Leased line... Costs us a fortune tho about £18,000+

were in south east london, costs us about 18k too.
just did the speed test and got 42788 down and 73150 up
maybe i meant 5000 I cant remember now.
Were in East London, Must be a good synetrix line.....
And we still get people moaning that the internet is slow.... No pleasing some people.

just rerun the test after most staff have gone home (inset day today) and got 80000
I have had lots of people complaning it is to slow, a few times I have had to point out that its running slow because 25 out of your 30 students are on youtube and not doing anywork.

at our school we get 6mb/s download in iexplore!
We have a 100mb/s RBC line. The highest ive ever seen us get is 4MB/s download so around 32mb/s in real life. Not too bad i suppose but when you consider Virgin are about to role out 50mb/s to your home around here, and we have 350 concurrent users, 32mb/s isnt really much tbh.

We have 10 mbit here and in no hurry to go to 100 mbit. We probably wouldn't get anywhere near it with our ISP anyway.
We paid just under that for our 10Mb this year, next year the 10Mb is going to be 30k+
