We get a 100mb line from CLEO after christmas. At the moment we have internet through the air at 12000/6000, which I suppose for radio waves, isn't all too bad.

However, it's been terribly unstable recently with wireless cctv camers being put up in the area, so for the last 2 weeks, have had wired 20000/1000 (upload was horrid considering when the classes use moodle all at once!)

    100mbs leased lines

we have a 100Mbs leased line and it is very fast can download whole service packs in a matter of minutes.

We use the Internet Provider Stream Networks Stream Networks - Excellence in IP - Business to Business Internet Provider for our leased line and provide excellent low latency service

You can search for companies who can provide 10mb and 100mb leased lines quite cheaply. Worth "Googleing" it.

    You can get 100mb

There is a company doing 100mb and 1GB leased lines in London quite cheap. Worth Googling for 100mb leased lines. I believe they are doing them for around 800 a month.

We have a 100mb Line, which we've had for 18 months or so now. Pay a small fortune for it though.

Anyone getting a faster connection than 100mb at the moment?

A thing to remember - a 100Mb connection to your LEA/RBC does not necessarily mean you've got 100Mb to the internet - ie. the contention ratio will not be 1:1.

To be honest quality over quantity comes to mind. I see many 'high speed' connections which perform nothing like what they should!

I would just love to have a 10mb connection at work, we are part of the NHS N3 Network, our internet is shocking, it is quicker for me to come home and download the file I want and drive back to the office, although we did have a backup ADSL line installed for another purpose but they didnt pay the bill!

We have some serious network upgrades going on at the moment and installing fibre between our sites to help free up the N3 connection although the N3 gateway is swapped at the other end and CFH won't fund an upgrade apparently.

The joys of working here, to be honest 3G is quicker for net access at time, 100mb would be ace to have!
