Gmail on iPhone - Anyone know which ports need to be opened for LGFL2??
Hey guys,
Trying to get gmail to work on the iPhone's mail app within a school network under LGFL2. It keeps on coming up with "the mail server "imap.gmail.com" is not responding... I emailed Atomwide, who told me to find out which ports need opening. I have had a quick look on google, but could not find any info. Has anyone been able to do it for their school?
Thanks in advance....
Nick

If you go into the mail settings I think in the advanced options you can tweak which ports the mail app uses for SMTP / POP etc ?

you can ask the help desk to allow access to the google ranges and that will sort this out for you as well, just need to ask in a support case ....

Jump up and down to Atomwide - they do have the ability and the pre-set firewall rules to open IMAP/SMTP/POP access to all "well-known" email services.
