I am not sure I would like it. My hands are quite large and I find the smaller computer mouse annoying. With its 'V' shape I think that it would seem, to me at least, that there was no mouse there at all.

MS does make some of the best input hardware around, it could end up being quite good. I can see the issue with the buttons not being comfortable though. It would probably be better in a U shape. That way it would still prevent people resting their wrists on the back of the mouse and thus help prevent RSI/OOS which would be a good thing.
