i was sent this link to resources to help raise awareness of mobile phone crime in schools.
With the increasing number of children and young people owning smart phones there is a rise in theft of said phones. However, even when a stolen smartphone is blocked, thieves can still connect to the internet using a WiFi connection, access email accounts, social networking profiles and other personal information stored on the phone.
A range of resources are for 9 to 16 year olds have been designed to ensure that students are aware of the risks.
Saving valuable teaching planning time and whilst also supporting curriculum learning outcomes, we have provided a range of materials for both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 subjects within English and Drama, Citizenship / PSHE and ICT.
Download our Read It! Accounts for real life mobile phone crime stories which help students understand the cyclical nature of mobile phone crime, empathise with victims and wise-up to the motives and tactics of would-be thieves including videos from the perspective of the victim, thief and buyer.
