When renewing an EES agreement, should the current one just continue? I am currently renewing some for April and so far all the renewals have come back with new agreement numbers, which I am guessing will have new Keys. Am I wrong in thinking the current agreement would just continue when renewed?
You can transfer the current one - you just need to give them the info when you go to sign up such as enrollment/agreement number etc I've just recently moved over to Millgate and thats all i did.Quote:

You'll have a master agreement number, and then the order number/agreement number for the new year.
I've not renewed an EES agreement yet, but with the Schools agreement, we got new keys every year anyway even under the same master agreement.
Are we OK to continue using keys under old agreements? We have an old schools agreement in our account along with this year's EES one and I haven't bothered changing the keys on our clients or in our WDS images...
I believe its fine, so long as you've continued to pay - otherwise you'd have to re-image your entire network every year!Quote:

If renewing with a different supplier after the bidding process then make sure they are fully aware you have an existing agreement and that they add it to that agreement rather than starting a new one :frusty:
Also, be aware of the licensing changes to 2012 products, for instance SQL 2012 has gone to per core rather than per processor licensing and you will have to license on that model even if you are on an older version.
I hear the pricing is changing in August so it might be worth locking yourself in for 3 years.

Corp get a special price rise - for others it's 20-30% including education. The new price list will be out for purchases after 1st July - i.e. after Microsofts financial year end. This has been talked about since before Christmas, but this is the 60 day notice that they legally have to give to notify everyone of the details.
If you can see a reference that excludes education then please let me know.

As some of you have said, the EES doesnt renew on it's own. You will get an email from MS about a month before your due date to remind you. If you are changing resellers, just let the new one know the details of your current one and everything will be ok :)
As for the price increases, prices will be going up on 01/07/12 for corporate but Edu is protected
