HI all,
I'm trying to find out if we can get the entire System Centre suite on the new EES, i have been told that its not out till some time in May, has any one else heard this? Or can point me in the right direction.
Can any one also explain the CAL's we need to cover the entire SC suite?

From what I've been told, yes you can. I got pricing for it from Viglen. You need to purchase the server parts for some of them, but not others.
Most CALs are included in the Enterprise CAL pack. (Except SCVMM client).

So the enterprise CAL will cover the clients for use, is there a server end licence for the entire suite?

Important: The System Center management components of both VDI suites are licensed only for use in a VDI scenario. They are not licensed for use outside of a VDI environment. This means that the management of virtualization hosts with mixed server and desktop workloads cannot be licensed with the VDI Suites.

For us we have a pool of 4 physical servers that host all of our VMs. Each of these is dual processor, so we have 8 x SMSD licenses together with the Enterprise CAL pack to cover all of our system centre needs. If you've got other physical servers that aren't running VMs its probably cheaper and less hassle to just get them a SMSD license (for each physical processor) as well. We then just purchase server licenses for SCCM, SCOM etc.
Going back to the original post, Microsoft are staggering the release of some CAL's. You will find that you can't buy Remote Desktop Services CAL's under EES yet. The release date for this is May 1st.

Would the Enterprise Desktop licenses give us access to all the Hyper-v management tools, deployment etc, along with the licenses to allow remote access via RDS?
