SMART Notebook - Clarification of Licence

Just had an email through from SMART saying that they are releasing a new Servicepack for SMART Notebook soon with a new licence agreement to clarify it, stating it can only be used with a SMARTboard unless purchased otherwise.

Attached the letter I recieved if anyone's interested.

no

nothing changed you can use it on a smartboard or on a "reasonable" number of PCS not connected to any touch/pen systems.

so can't use it on your Promethean boards as an example.

I think this letter is intended just to clarify the current position rather than impose new conditions.
I believe that its always been the case that you can use the software on a number of devices not connected to a SMART board for the purposes of preparing presentations and that you are not permitted to use it with other brands of boards.
